Once Were Photographs ... Peter Lyssiotis
From Deakin University Art Gallery, this exhibition of works by writer and photographer Peter Lyssiotis questions the relationship between photography and memory. What was once a photograph has been erased, scratched, sand papered, smoothed and reworked to create a new image.
A City of Whitehorse resident, Peter Lyssiotis is represented in major art and book collections across the globe including Cyprus, France, Holland, Switzerland, the United States and Australia – notably the Deakin University Art Collection and the City of Whitehorse Art Collection.
