For many hundreds of years Chinese artists have celebrated the natural world using simple, seemingly spontaneous brushstrokes of ink or colour.

Jianhua Lin’s recent ink paintings are skilfully performed, with each daub and lift of ink displaying a determination to capture the beauty of nature.
