Council is following the Directions issued by the Chief Health Officer under the Victorian State of Emergency. The health and wellbeing of our community is our highest priority.
The “Stage 3 - Stay at Home” restrictions have been reintroduced and will come into effect from 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July. Council must now close Box Hill Town Hall, Artspace and the Community Halls in compliance with these Directions.
We expect the facilities to remain closed for 6 weeks, in line with the Premier’s announcement about the Stay at Home Directions. Our website will be updated in the event of any changes.
All Whitehorse residents must comply with the “Stay at Home Direction”. For the health and safety of our community, we must stay at home except for one of the four reasons:
- Shopping for essentials
- Provide or receive care
- Work or study if it cannot be done from home
- Exercise
Further information about the restrictions can be found on the DHHS website.
